A Snapshot of Your Day

Join our dynamic team as a Manufacturing/ Tooling Engineer, where you will play a pivotal role in supporting the shop floor in execution, but also driving tooling and machining process standardization for Steam Stationary products. You will leverage your expertise in NX programming, process optimization, and tooling management to foster efficiency and innovation in our operations. Imagine collaborating with cross-functional teams to align tooling strategies with business objectives while actively contributing to a culture of continuous improvement. Your insights will help craft the future of our manufacturing capabilities, ensuring we meet the demands of a rapidly evolving industry.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Tool Library, focusing on process optimization and tooling enhancement.
  • Utilize your expert knowledge in NX modeling, programming, and Vericut simulation to establish common standards that elevate our manufacturing capabilities.
  • Support shop operations as a Manufacturing Engineer, stepping in as needed to ensure seamless processes.
  • Collaborate with local and global teams, including engineering, quality, and IT, to synchronize tooling standardization efforts with our strategic goals.
  • Monitor progress against defined targets, identifying areas for improvement and driving a culture of innovation within the manufacturing teams.

What You Bring

  • A bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
  • 5 or more years of experience in manufacturing operations within a machining environment, emphasizing process integration and optimization. Candidates with more experience may be considered for a higher-level position.
  • A strong understanding of tooling optimization and best practices, with a proven track record of leading successful tool standardization projects.
  • Demonstrated program management experience, showcasing your ability to lead initiatives effectively.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a focus on collaboration and teamwork.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

About the Team

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
