A Snapshot of Your Day

Join Siemens Energy as a Manufacturing Supervisor in Assembly, Welding, and Machining in Charlotte, NC, where you will lead a talented team in producing industrial steam rotors, turbine assemblies, valve assemblies, and small components. Your leadership will be pivotal to our success! You will kick off each Weekend shift with daily toolbox meetings, emphasizing Safety, Quality, and task assignments. As a hands-on leader, you will be visible on the floor, ensuring operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will perform safety observations, provide positive coaching, and empower your team to mentor one another, fostering a culture of safety and collaboration.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Lead a diverse and highly skilled team of machinists, welders, and mechanics to achieve production goals.
  • Drive safety by ensuring all manufacturing personnel adhere to safe work practices, addressing deficiencies, and maintaining OSHA compliance.
  • Collaborate daily with your team and coordinate with fellow supervisors, Manufacturing Engineers, and Quality Associates to resolve production challenges.
  • Mentor and develop your production team, ensuring effective training and flexibility while addressing personnel issues as needed.
  • Monitor production requirements, adjust schedules, and evaluate performance metrics to make informed decisions that align with short and long-range goals.

What You Bring

  • 2+ years of direct supervisory experience or 3+ years in manufacturing, particularly in assembly, welding, and machining, with a preference for large rotating equipment experience.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and 5S methodologies, along with conflict resolution skills in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MRP, Quality Control systems, and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES/OIL); SAP knowledge is a plus.
  • A collaborative mindset, ready to tackle tasks beyond standard business requirements.
