A Snapshot of Your Day
Join our dynamic team as a Production Order Planner, where you will play a crucial role in supporting the production scheduling and material requirement planning for our Compressor Component products within the Siemens Energy Gas Turbine division. You will provide essential SAP interface support for materials needed in production orders, ensuring they are picked, confirmed, and staged efficiently. Additionally, you will assist with work center scheduling, capacity planning, and effectively communicate machine tool capabilities, all while contributing to our mission of delivering low-emission power generation.

 

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Provide analyses and data to build effective production strategies, capacity plans, and development plans.
  • Assist in confirming hours booked within SAP and generate detailed reports for operational reviews.
  • Resolve SAP system conflicts utilizing your extensive MRP experience.
  • Monitor customer production requirements and adjust schedules as necessary.
  • Coordinate logistics and timing for production material requirements.
  • Deliver detailed work center scheduling to optimize production flow.
  • Collaborate with shop support groups to ensure necessary tools and information are available on the shop floor.
  • Analyze daily operating results and engage with supervisors to address production challenges, ensuring cross-departmental cooperation.
  • Facilitate planning for non-conformance rework and provide detailed scheduling.
  • Lead bottleneck resolution activities to enhance production efficiency.
  • Generate production reports and metrics, proactively influencing decisions to meet established goals.
  • Report performance against operating plans and standards.
  • Coordinate with business partners for systematic and physical material movement.
  • Maintain a high proficiency in Excel to support your tasks.

 

What You Bring

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to evaluate options and make informed decisions.
  • A collaborative team player who contributes to team goals.
  • An associate degree or skilled trade with equivalent experience; a bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) is a plus.
  • A minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience in scheduling, line supervision, industrial engineering, or production control.

Legal authorization for employment in the United States without the need for employer-sponsored work authorization.
