A Snapshot of Your Day
Join our dynamic team where you will engage with operators, engineers, supervisors, and managers to ensure seamless production while upholding Siemens Energy standards. You will collaborate with operators to address questions and resolve issues that arise during the building and servicing of Gas Turbine Rotors. By reviewing specifications and working closely with design engineering, you will tackle product deviations effectively. Partner with schedulers to maintain timely production delivery by ensuring routers are ready and complete when needed. You will also prepare presentations and report project updates to management. Your responsibilities may vary daily, presenting new challenges and opportunities for growth.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Support production activities by providing answers to process questions and navigating established processes to resolve product non-conformance issues.
  • Be part of a 24/7 department, offering weekend support as needed to meet customer deadlines.
  • Lead a manufacturing team to ensure successful execution of products through the shop, providing both preparedness and in-process support.
  • Develop broach set-up books detailing all fixturing and tooling required to produce specific blade roots, collaborating with tooling manufacturers to refine designs.
  • Support Gleason and Magerle grinders to consistently produce quality clutches on rotor discs, including process definition and documentation.

What You Bring

  • A bachelor’s degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering, or an associate degree with relevant experience is required. Alternatively, 10+ years of manufacturing experience may substitute for a degree.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment involving heavy CNC machining, with experience working on CNC grinders to produce Curvic and Hirth clutches.
  • Knowledge of broach tooling, broach machine set-up, and troubleshooting surface finish issues.
  • Proven experience collaborating closely with shop floor personnel to resolve tooling and machine issues as they arise.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
