A snapshot of Your Day
As a Logistics Key Expert – Transport Management, you play a key role in the implementation and rollout of an SAP Transport Management System (TMS) within the logistics organization and in our Logistics Competence Centers. Leveraging strong transport logistics expertise, you support the implementation, user training, system adjustments and improvements to local requirements In close collaboration with Siemens Energy locations and internal stakeholders, you align logistics requirements and ensure that transport execution is efficiently mapped within the SAP transport management system.
You work closely with our Siemens Energy locations, Logistics Process Operators and logistics service providers to integrate them into the system landscape and ensure seamless communication. You contribute your transport logistics know-how to the creation of standards, guidelines, and system-related documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory and operational requirements.
As part of the ongoing digitalization initiative, you actively drive process improvements, support change management activities, and demonstrate innovative solutions to increase efficiency, visibility, and scalability in transport management.
How You will Make an Impact
- Supporting the SAP/S4 implementation project in the logistics area, ensuring alignment between logistics operational processes and the new SAP functionalities.
- Gathering requirements from logistics teams and creating Business Requirement documents together with Roll Out Team for S4.
- Testing new SAP processes, functionalities, and integrations during project phases, be part of User Acceptance Tests (UAT).
- Providing logistics process operator training and guidance to logistics colleagues on SAP tools, processes, and best practices.
- Serving as first point of contact for SAP-related logistics process issues, ensuring smooth system operation and continuous improvement.
- Collaborating closely with the digitalization team, business areas and cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution of issues and optimization of logistics workflows in SAP.
- Contributing to change management activities to foster adoption of SAP processes within the logistics team.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field (supply chain, logistics or similar) or alternatively a relevant vocational education combined with substantial work experience e.g forwarding agent / logistics Manager.
- Advanced experience in Transportation Management covering all transport modes (air, sea, ground, processing, project logistics) including processing and project logistics.
- Experience in handling Logistics Services, ensuring accurate, on-time and cost-efficient delivery solutions aligned with customer requirements and internal project needs. Preferably knowledge in export processes and transport documentation.
- Strong analytical skills combined with a high level of customer and solution orientation, organizational strength and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Key Expert mindset with excellent communication skills, enabling to act as a central point of contact between logistics, digitalization team, external partners, translate business requirements into system- related solutions and actively support decision-making.
- High SAP affinity, preferably hands-on with Transportation management, ability to quickly understand system processes, support implementation, test scenarios and act as a key user during rollouts.
- Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written) across all organizational levels.
- Proficient MS Office skills (Excel, Teams Word etc.), and solid SAP user knowledge, experience in system documentation, user training or process standardization are an advantage.
- Availability to work from our Bucharest office 3 days per week, with 2 days working remotely.
- Willingness to travel on a regular basis to support training locations, conduct end-user trainings, and provide on-site support during implementation and rollout phases.
