A Snapshot of Your Day

You will be conducting Daily Safety Start Up Meetings assigning daily job assignments and assisting Management to ensure the job is done safely, on time and according to specifications. Hands on work ensuring team is following all safety rules and working safely in a timely manner.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Lead/work with a crew of assemblers in the assembly of various centrifugal compressors and in set up for testing.
  • Verifying daily assignments are accurately completed.
  • Assisting the test engineering group to monitor and run compressor testing. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Review Assembly instructions, specs and blueprints.
  • Assist management with customer witness points and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Notify management/engineering of issues and deviations from print and regularly carry out and document simple maintenance and cleaning work according to the specifications or maintenance plan. Carry out minor repair within the scope of the available expertise.
  • Work with management/engineering to refine assembly best practices and Train less experienced Test setup Assembly Technician. Use micrometer and indicators to measure tolerances to +/-0.001”, hand tools, air grinders and overhead lifting devices.

What You Bring 

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5+ years relevant experience in Assembly of Rotating Equipment Manufacturing preferred.
  • Preference given to applicants with specific expert knowledge of Siemens Energy Turbomachinery rotating equipment assembly (particularly RF and Datum range of turbo-compressors) including development and interpretation of technical assembly instructions, build methods and sequencing of core compressor internals and auxiliaries.
  • Basic computer skills
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
