A Snapshot of Your Day

As an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer , you will work independently on orders for the modernization of compressor systems. Your focus is on the control and regulation of the machine system and its auxiliary units. During project execution, you are the technical lead of the Instrumentation and Controls field. You will coordinate the solutions with the other field leads and represent the selected technical solution to internal and external customers. You also use your expertise to support and assess quotation and trouble-shooting issues.

 

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Analyzing customer specifications, considering the technical requirements to provide the solutions and release the engineering documentation per project schedule.
  • Preparing descriptions for the control and regulation of compressor units.
  • Calculating and selecting the control valves, flow elements, cabling, junction boxes and Instrumentation.
  • Checking, correcting if necessary, drawings and calculations prepared by the design team or business partners (P&I, instrument lists, logic diagrams, functional diagrams, wiring diagrams..)
  • Reviewing /commenting the P&I from the point of view of instrumentation and machine monitoring requirements.
  • Participating to technical discussions with Customers and Suppliers, HAZOP, SIL meetings.
  • Providing technical support to the Project Manager during customer visits in-house and on site.
  • Providing technical support during the commissioning of the compressor unit and the analysis of deviations.

 

What You Bring

  • Master Degree in Electrical & Controls engineering.
  • Proven professional experience of at least 5 years in a comparable position.
  • Written and spoken English language skills; Knowledge of German language is an advantage.
  • Ability to work on several subjects in parallel and handle the priorities, ability to work in a team, ability to communicate clearly and summarize discussions and action in minutes of meeting. Willing to understand the phenomenon and expand knowledge. Desiring to work in an international team.
  • Available to travel when necessary to meet client and suppliers.
