A Snapshot of Your Day

Join us in keeping vital plant systems running at their best. You’ll dive into hands-on work, performing precise instrument calibrations, field checks, and troubleshooting to ensure equipment operates smoothly. You’ll maintain and install control, monitoring, alarm, and indicator systems, working with individual components that are essential to the plant’s performance. From protective relays and turbine controls to voltage regulators, inverters, battery chargers, motors, lighting, and grounding systems – you’ll be right at the heart of it all. Every task you take on will keep operations safe, efficient, and reliable, making an immediate impact on our mission to power a sustainable future.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Perform maintenance on 4160-volt and 480-volt equipment, breakers and switchgear.
  • Perform upkeep of the maintenance management system and other administrative tasks as assigned.
  • Maintain logs of problems, repairs and downtime. Perform maintenance of DCS and PLC systems.
  • Maintain all facility equipment through corrective, predictive and planned activities.
  • Identifies design improvements and/or problems; recommends and installs modifications necessary for resolution.
  • Assists in the investigation of plant problems, incidents, accidents and unusual events; provides input and recommendations for reports and follow-up plans.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of power plant experience. Engineering or technical degree recommended, HS diploma/GED and relevant training/experience may be considered.
  • Requires a thorough understanding of all aspects of power plant maintenance, and a good working knowledge of combustion and steam turbines, generators, boilers and instruments and controls. Experience with a Siemens-Energy V84.3A (2) gas turbine and Siemens T-3000 controls is a plus.
  • Requires strong verbal and written communication skills, and the interpersonal skills necessary to supervise nonexempt personnel.
  • Requires a strong ability to present, explain and defend rationale behind actions taken during business in a concise and logical manner.
  • Willing to travel 5% domestically for training purposes.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
