A Snapshot of Your Day 

As Head of Global Commodity Management (f/m/d) for Construction, you are accountable for the global procurement strategy, governance, and performance of construction-related spend commodities. You lead a global procurement team responsible for construction services, technical building equipment, design services, and project management across international real estate and infrastructure projects. In this leadership role, you act as a strategic partner to Real Estate and regional leadership, translating project and portfolio requirements into scalable global sourcing strategies while enabling strong regional execution within a robust governance framework.

How You’ll Make an Impact 
  • Define the global end-to-end procurement strategy for construction-related commodities.
  • Establish global standards and governance frameworks to ensure cost efficiency and compliance.
  • Drive demand aggregation and global sourcing roadmaps across projects and portfolios.
  • Lead, develop, and inspire a global construction procurement team.
  • Build strong capabilities in project procurement, contract management, supplier performance, and commercial risk management.
  • Deliver measurable value through cost optimization and transparent reporting on procurement risks.
What You Bring
  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a comparable field with a strong construction focus.
  • Experience in global construction procurement, project procurement, or commercial project management within construction or real estate environments.
  • Leadership experience in international, multi-regional organizations is a plus.
  • Expertise in construction contracts, negotiations, claim management, and supplier management.
  • Strategic mindset combined with strong execution and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluency in business English and German
