A Snapshot of Your Day

In your role as Team Lead you will manage the newly created sub team Contract Management Execution East with its extended responsibilities within the Onshore Wind Power business covering now Contract Management of projects in execution as well as service in the US, LATAM, and South Europe and Africa. This role will focus on three key pillars: strategic team leadership and development, comprehensive oversight of the end-to-end contract lifecycle, and proactive risk management with continuous process improvement. These areas are designed to build a high-performing team, secure the company's commercial and legal interests, and enhance operational efficiency in a challenging business environment, with a strengthened focus on supporting the service business to cover the entire lifecycle of an onshore wind project. Emotional intelligence, coupled with expert-level skills in contract negotiation, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance, are essential for success in this position.

How You’ll Make an Impact

You will play a key role in strengthening the contract management function by focusing on core areas:

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of experienced contract management professionals, setting performance objectives and providing strategic guidance.
  • Implement departmental policies and short-term strategies to support the team's business goals and help us achieve break even.
  • Oversee resource allocation and workload management to ensure effective and timely support for all contractual matters within the region.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the

Contract Lifecycle Management:

  • Ensure all contracts and amendments adhere to corporate governance, legal standards, and regulatory requirements across relevant jurisdictions.
  • Manage the resolution of contract claims and disputes, minimizing risk and financial exposure for the organization.
  • Actively shape regional cross-project claim strategies with all relevant stakeholders Risk Management & Process Optimization:
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies and policies in collaboration with the project execution and service teams and the respective regional management.
  • Influence and advise stakeholders outside the immediate team on contractual policies, practices, and potential risks.
  • Drive the optimization of contract management workflows and processes to improve efficiency, compliance, and business alignment.

What You Bring

  • A university degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • Extensive experience in legal contract management, ideally within energy, engineering, or construction industry Proven leadership experience, including managing and developing experienced professionals
  • Strong expertise in contract negotiation, drafting, compliance, and risk mitigation
  • Solid understanding of regulatory frameworks and contractual governance
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills
  • High level of business acumen, strategic thinking, and analytical capabilities
  • Strong emotional intelligence and ability to lead in a complex, international environment
