A Snapshot of Your Day (position overview)

The Head of Commercial Sales will serve as the financial counterpart to the Sales organizations across North America (NA) and Latin America (LA)! This strategic role is responsible for overseeing the commercial sales process, ensuring financial integrity in cost calculations and terms and conditions, and driving operational excellence across key customer-facing teams!

How You’ll Make an Impact (responsibilities)

  • Lead and develop a team of financial analysts, overseeing daily activities, development, and fostering a collaborative high-performance culture aligned with commercial goals and operational excellence.
  • Partner with Sales teams in NA and LA to evaluate and support commercial proposals, reviewing cost calculations, pricing structures, and terms & conditions as part of the LOA process.
  • Act as a liaison between customers, Sales, and Execution teams to ensure invoice accuracy, timely payments for CP SV Key Customers, and drive resolution of commercial issues impacting customer satisfaction or payment delays.
  • Ensure financial compliance, risk mitigation, and operational transparency in all commercial agreements while partnering closely with the technical organization.
  • Provide financial insights, recommendations, and support to the Head of Finance and other senior leaders, while serving as first point of contact for customer, country, and organizational dispute resolution.
  • Planned travel required up to 20%; must qualify for travel within region of employment.

What You Bring (requirements)

  • 10+ years in areas of growing responsibility and of shown experience with a broad financial background in commercial and project relevant functions required.
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in accounting, finance, business administration or related field.
  • Experience working in multinational environments with in-depth knowledge of corporate finance, accounting principles, ERP systems, and financial reporting tools (SAP and Salesforce).
  • Strong leadership, team management, and stakeholder management skills, paired with excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent financial analysis and reporting skills with a strong passion for automation and lean initiatives.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
