We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Reciprocating Compressor Engineering Core Compressor New Unit to lead and manage our Core Compressor team within our Order Execution department delivering Engineering for Global New Unit customer projects. The selected candidate will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of a team based in Naroda, India, while acting as a mentor and coach and providing guidance and support to enhance skills and performance.
The successful candidate will also oversee engineering activities, ensuring the successful execution of projects, and meeting key performance indicators to drive operational excellence!
This role will directly report into the Global Head of Engineering and Product Owner for Reciprocating Compressor and the selected candidate will be part of the Global Reciprocating Compressor leadership team.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize engineering processes and improve efficiency across teams.
- Monitor and analyze important metrics related to order execution, providing regular reports and insights to senior management.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment, encouraging professional development and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with multi-functional, multi-national teams, including sales, project management, procurement, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless execution of projects.
- Develop, optimize and maintain global Siemens Energy Engineering Standards for Reciprocating Core Compressor and align with all global stakeholders within engineering.
- Ensure compliance with industry and safety standards, and company policies throughout the engineering process.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with engineering projects, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
What You Bring:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Industrial or similar Engineering field; Higher education is a plus.
- 10+ years of proven leadership experience as a line manager, particularly in order execution or project management with excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire diverse teams. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
- Strong intercultural competency and experience in working with global teams and in an international environment. Work experience outside of India is a plus.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and methodologies.
- Proficient in analyzing data and Key Performance Indicators to drive decision-making and performance improvement.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges and setting priorities.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, Word, Outlook and Powerpoint); Knowledge of JIRA for task management and order execution software GloBus, SAP, NX is a plus.
