As a Grid Automation Market Applications Lead for North America, you’ll be at the forefront of revolutionizing the power infrastructure, driving innovation, and ensuring sustainable, efficient energy solutions. You will be responsible for meeting with customers and regulators to define go-to-market strategy, industry trends and position Grid Automation as the preferred solutions provider.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Working in close collaboration with the Sales team to shape and defining our offerings & services with customers.
- Utilizing your experience to evaluate & develop potential opportunities, working actively with the Grid Automation bid team during the proposal development process.
- Developing strategy, understanding customer requirements, providing innovative solutions, and growing our Grid Automation business.
- Engaging with customers, regulators, and industry experts to understand their needs and help address their challenges with our portfolio solutions.
- Providing feedback to the R&D team regarding market trends and customer needs.
- Contributing towards our competitiveness and product development in the space of digitalization, automation, and electrification, using your analytics ability and result-orientation to provide suitable solutions and compelling arguments.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s or Master’s (preferred) degree in electrical engineering, automation, or similar field
- 8 or more years of relevant professional experience in Program Manager, Product Development, or Engineering within the solutions business is desired. *Candidates with more experience can be considered for a higher level or vice-versa
- Strong leader, result-oriented, having business insight with strategic mindset who has created solutions to grow the business while helping build the organization for long term success
- A global attitude with strong intercultural sensitivity and the ability to work collaboratively with customers and partners around the world
- Knowledge of digital substations and the product offering landscape is considered as a plus
- An analytical and strategic mindset, always eager to explore and implement innovative solutions and applying problem-solving skills; Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders; Proficient language skill in English is required.
Flexibility to travel as needed, up to 40%.
Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
