A Snapshot of Your Day
Join us in driving procurement strategies for field services, materials, tools, and service contracts that are essential for maintaining and repairing energy infrastructure, including turbines, generators, and transmission systems within the Gas Service Central Business units of Siemens Energy. You will ensure cost efficiency, reliability, and compliance while supporting operational excellence and fulfilling customer commitments. How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Develop and execute tailored Comprehensive Field Services Commodity Strategies that align with Business and Regional objectives, focusing on Growth, Resilience, and Cost Efficiency for Global Service Operations.
  • Lead a cross-functional Commodity Circle Team that embodies a “Value Creation” mindset, driving improvements in cost, on-time delivery, quality, and lead times while prioritizing Health & Safety.
  • Provide strategic vision and represent business interests within a global commodity team, acting as a role model for ownership, innovation, and transformation in line with Siemens Energy’s values.
  • Manage commodity structures and provide periodic updates on commodity health to Strategic Procurement leadership and key customers, sharing supplier market intelligence across Siemens Energy.
  • Oversee supplier management, including selection, onboarding, qualification, and performance evaluation, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and field-focused KPIs.

What You Bring

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Over 8 years of experience in commodity or category management, preferably with exposure to Field Services within a global organization.
  • Strong negotiation, strategic sourcing, and complex contract management skills.
  • A deep understanding of cost analysis, market trends, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills, with flexibility to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
  • Fluent in English (primary) and German (secondary).

Our Gas Services division is dedicated to providing low-emission power generation through innovative service and decarbonization solutions. We focus on zero or low-emission power generation, encompassing all gas turbines, steam turbines, and generators. Our team is committed to exploring decarbonization opportunities through modernization and digitalization of the fleet, ensuring we meet the energy demands of the future sustainably.
