A Snapshot of Your Day
As the Equipment Sourcing & Vendor Capacity Lead, you will oversee sourcing strategies and supplier capacity planning for both production and non‑production equipment critical to a major factory expansion. Your day includes evaluating supplier capacity, coordinating equipment procurement, monitoring vendor performance, mitigating risks, and ensuring all equipment and materials are delivered on time, in scope, and within budget. You will work closely with global Supply Chain, Engineering, and Project Management teams to secure reliable suppliers, support ramp‑up activities, and ensure continuity of operations while driving cost‑effective and high‑quality sourcing decisions.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Lead equipment sourcing activities, supplier capacity evaluations, and development initiatives for production and non-production equipment.
- Coordinate supplier project plans, budgets, timelines, and end‑to‑end supply chain processes to meet project and business requirements.
- Build and maintain a reliable supplier base, ensuring availability, quality, and competitiveness of required equipment and materials.
- Monitor supplier performance, risks, and capacity, implementing corrective actions and leading make‑to‑buy transitions when needed.
- Manage third‑party vendors, ensuring equipment development, delivery, and start‑of‑production readiness align with ramp‑up plans.
- Prepare supplier progress reports, communicate project status to stakeholders, and lead cross‑functional teams in cost‑benefit and performance analyses.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field; Project Management certification is a plus.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience managing complex, multidisciplinary projects in corporate or industrial environments.
- Strong knowledge of project management tools and end‑to‑end supply chain processes, with experience in matrix organizations and multi‑stream projects.
- Proven ability to develop suppliers, evaluate capacity, manage risks, and drive performance improvements.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively across global teams.
- High proactivity, attention to detail, conflict‑management capability, and strong leadership to enforce standards and drive results.
About the Team
You will join an international, fast‑paced, and highly collaborative project team supporting a major Grid Technologies factory expansion. The team works across Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, and Project Management to ensure production readiness and long‑term supplier reliability. As part of this network, you will partner with global stakeholders, influence strategic sourcing decisions, and contribute to securing critical equipment and infrastructure needed for the plant’s growth.
