A Snapshot of Your Day
This position has been created to address the need for business continuity and support the growth of new projects within the SE GT SO FS LA ENG (Engineering) organization. The role will provide dedicated industrial cybersecurity expertise to ensure the security and resilience of engineering activities for Grid Technologies projects in Latin America. To meet these business objectives, the role is structured around three core areas: Industrial Cybersecurity Assessment, Security Implementation and Mitigation, and Technical Project Support. This focus ensures that vulnerabilities in Operational Technology (OT) environments are identified and addressed, security controls are integrated throughout the project lifecycle, and technical expertise is available to support engineering teams. Given the focus on securing industrial project environments, the ideal candidate will possess practical experience in OT/ICS cybersecurity, including vulnerability assessment and penetration testing. A background in engineering or a related technical field, combined with knowledge of network security and relevant security frameworks, will be essential for success in this role.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Conduct cybersecurity assessments and penetration testing on ICS/OT environments to identify vulnerabilities, threats, and compliance gaps (e.g., IEC 62443).
- Analyze industrial network and system architectures to uncover security weaknesses, intrusion paths, and root causes of vulnerabilities.
- Design and implement OT security controls such as network segmentation, firewalls, secure remote access, and system hardening.
- Develop and apply mitigation strategies aligned with operational constraints and project timelines for grid technology projects.
- Prepare clear technical reports, risk assessments, and documentation for stakeholders, covering findings, recommendations, and remediation activities.
- Collaborate with engineering and project teams as an industrial cybersecurity subject matter expert to ensure security is embedded throughout the project lifecycle.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional experience in cybersecurity, with a demonstrated focus on Industrial Control Systems (ICS) or Operational Technology (OT) environments.
- Experience in technologies companies.
- CISSP certification is a plus.
- English and Spanish is required.
- Availability for occasional short-term trips within the country.
- Required CREA or similar.
