- Engagement in a highly innovative and international R&D environment for the creation of next-generation electrolysis technologies contributing to the decarbonization of industrial processes
- Investigation of fundamental aspects of low-temperature CO₂ electrolysis for the safeguarding of technology leadership in the electrolyzer business and the assurance of future technological competitiveness of products
- Contribution to the electrolyzer team through the provision of advanced technical knowledge and skills in electrocatalysis and electrochemistry
- Support in the development of innovative electrolyzer core components, including the scaling from small laboratory systems to product-relevant sizes and platforms
- Enhancement of team capability in the electrochemical laboratory through effective collaboration in an international project environment and the stimulation of creative idea and solution development
- Promotion of an outside-in perspective and the transformation of innovative ideas from global research and development trends into future R&D directions and solid technical solutions
- Successfully completed doctorate in chemical engineering, electrochemistry, materials science, or a comparable field, with professional experience in electro catalytic electrode and cell design, as well as electrochemical device testing, ideally focused on CO₂ electrolysis
- Advanced expertise in electrochemical characterization of electrodes, catalyst/electrolyte interfaces, and degradation mechanisms of electrochemical cells
- Proficiency in analytical techniques such as gas chromatography and NMR, along with experience in material and electrode characterization using optical microscopy, SEM/EDX, XRD, XPS, FTIR, and Raman spectroscopy
- Solid experience in organizing and managing technical projects, with strong skills in data analysis and technical reporting tailored to the target audience
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 tools, MATLAB, Origin, LabVIEW, and experience in mathematical modeling
- Strong communication skills in an international environment, with very good command of spoken and written English and basic knowledge of German
