How You’ll Make an Impact

Technical Expertise: A service engineer should have technical background and knowledge of MV/LV Drives, Generators and Motors and experience with Sinamics AC or DC Drives and/or Masterdrives, Simotion, STEP7-classic, Simatic TDC, TIA-portal, communications protocols Profibus & Profinet, and Siemens HMI systems. Possessing knowledge of Siemens Protection Relays SIPROTEC is an added advantage.

Problem-Solving Skills: A service engineer should possess excellent problem-solving abilities to identify the root cause of problems, develop effective solutions, and implement them in a timely manner.

Analytical Thinking: The ability to analyze complex situations and data is crucial for a service engineer. A service engineer should be able to interpret system logs, diagnose issues, and make data-driven decisions to resolve problems efficiently.

Communication Skills: Strong communication skills are essential for a service engineer as they often interact with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders. A service engineer should be able to clearly articulate technical concepts, provide instructions, and communicate updates or resolutions effectively.

Customer Focus: A service engineer play a critical role in ensuring customer satisfaction. A service engineer should have a customer-centric approach, understanding and addressing customer needs, and delivering excellent service. Patience, empathy, and professionalism are important attributes in this regard.

What You Bring

In summary, a service engineer is responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance services for the electrical system in plant. They analyze and resolve system issues, perform preventive maintenance tasks, and ensure the smooth operation of the power plant. A service engineers also collaborate with customers, communicate updates and resolutions, and strive to deliver exceptional service experiences. Their role encompasses technical expertise, problem-solving, customer focus, and continuous learning to ensure the optimal performance and satisfaction of users.

• Bachelor´s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.

• More than 5 years of experience with engineering and commissioning of low and/or medium voltage electrical equipment/systems.

• Completes broad scope of technical tasks including service, installation/commissioning, maintenance, and evaluation of customers equipment and systems among others after sales service.

• Determines priorities of tasks and actions and schedules measures accordingly.

• Supports customer remotely and onsite and provides 1st and 2nd level user support in case of arising issues.

• Contributes to or conducts the maintenance and improvement of internal tools, equipment, processes, and data repositories.

• Contributes to or executes activities for estimation, planning, and review of technical tasks in support of preventive/corrective.

• Ad-hoc services, lead service project, assist. tech-sales, support other countries.

• Adheres to relevant processes and regulations.

• Manage sub-contractors and monitors delivery.

• Responsible for providing training to customers on how to use and maintain the electrical equipment.

• Involve in technical design and developments for service offerings.

• Responsible for managing service contracts with customers, ensuring that services are delivered on time and within budget.

• Responsible for identifying new business opportunities and developing relationships with potential customers.

• Fluent in Korean and English (Written and Oral)

• Willing to travel to sites and travel on short notice and able to handle flexible working hours on demand basis and ability to work under pressure onsite & offsite.

• Respond promptly to incidents, investigate, and provide temporary and/or permanent resolution of incidents escalated.
