A Snapshot of Your Day

As an EPC Business Developer within the Controls and Digitalization (CD) Group, you will be responsible for strategically positioning our portfolio of solutions to meet the needs of new build or expansion projects in the power generation industry. Your extensive technical and commercial experience will enable you to cultivate and maintain positive relationships with Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) firms, as well as Architectural and Owners Engineers. This will enhance the value of CD, increase our content within Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and ultimately improve our win rate.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Build and sustain strong, collaborative relationships with all levels of EPC and AE organizations to effectively position CD’s portfolio for new build and expansion projects in the power generation sector.
  • Serve as a technical consultant to the engineering team, offering insights and expertise to support project development and execution.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and procurement teams to align on project requirements and vendor selection criteria, while delivering value-added proposals that address procurement needs, balancing cost-effectiveness and risk management.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive positioning within the EPC / New build markets.
  • Contribute to the development of strategic plans that align with the overall business objectives of CD, while collaborating with internal teams—such as sales, engineering, and project management—to ensure seamless execution of EPC initiatives.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in an Engineering field of study
  • Excellent understanding of North American Power generation market
  • A deep understanding of EPC / AE business processes, gained through direct experience working with or for these organizations throughout the full project execution cycle, which provides a comprehensive grasp of the risk versus reward profile and associated mitigation strategies.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with experience up to C Level participants
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers
