A Snapshot of Your Day

Your role will involve working alongside a diverse team to successfully meet the engineering needs of a rotating equipment project. In this position, you will work on groundbreaking technologies and systems, directly contributing to our mission of decarbonizing the industrial sector.

How You’ll Make an Impact

The specific responsibilities assigned to the position (but not limited to) are:

  • Manage the control systems technical scope for supply of new packaged rotating equipment for onshore and offshore projects including electric motor-driven compressor trains, gas turbine-generators, gas turbine-compressors, and extended plant scope (coolers, scrubbers, anti-surge valves, etc.), including programming and system configuration.
  • Provide essential support to the Project Engineer in addressing technical issues, facilitating seamless interaction with both internal teams and external clients.
  • Ensure that the highest engineering standards are maintained within the controls engineering department during the design and manufacture of these products, and actively contribute to hazard and operability analysis (HAZOP) and safety integrity level (SIL) assessments.
  • Troubleshoot and analyze control system designs for gas turbines, compressors, and process systems, ensuring operational efficiency and reliability.
  • Lead the drafting/design team in producing detailed schematics, materials lists, and assembly instructions, while supporting the production team with clear guidance and adjustments to drawings.
  • Efficiently manage the controls engineering schedule and budget, ensuring timely delivery of equipment specifications and customer documentation, and provide ongoing technical support through to the end of warranty periods.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, with 8+ years of controls engineering related industry experience. Those with more experience may be considered for a more senior level
  • Proficient in designing, testing, and commissioning control systems, including Human Machine Interface (HMI), and experienced with control system platforms like Allen-Bradley and Siemens PCS 7.
  • Skilled in programming and coding based on control-narratives, control descriptions, and cause & effect diagrams, with familiarity in Engineering/PLM software (Teamcenter, Jira) and SAP (preferred).
  • Familiar with rotating equipment packages and their associated auxiliary systems (preferred).
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team. Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a strong desire for professional growth.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time (domestic or international).
