A Snapshot of Your Day

Contract Manager at Siemens Energy's U.S. Legal Department will support large gas turbine contracts in the Americas, collaborating on equipment provision and project agreements.

The selected individual will perform a full range of contractual services throughout the entire contract management life cycle, including inception of early project development stages, the request for bid/proposal phase, contract negotiation and execution, and providing limited contract support during the implementation and subsequent contract closure phases. The successful candidate will work independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team, concurrently engaged in multiple projects.

How You will Make an Impact

  • Write, review, analyze, modify, and negotiate complex sales documents, settlement agreements, confidentiality agreements, letters of intent, changes to existing agreements for service and equipment, and other contractual terms and conditions to achieve acceptable risk levels.
  • Summarize, prepare and present risk summaries for review and approval by management.
  • Perform as a member of a multi-disciplined negotiation team.
  • Review and provide advice relating to high profile contracts, subcontracts, bids, equipment agreements, sales transactions, project implementation issues and general corporate matters.

Export Control Requirement:

Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or in a related field. A minimum of 3+ years of experience in a comparable position is required (Preferably an advanced degree or equivalent experience in business or law).
  • Provide strong negotiation skills with excellent communication, writing, and meeting facilitation skills, detail oriented, able to balance multiple projects at the same time.
  • Demonstrate a pragmatic approach to problem solving and strong flexibility to adjust to changing requirements, schedules, and priorities. Proficient in the use of computer software programs, such as MS Office Suite, SalesForce, and SharePoint.
  • Able to socialize ideas and orally communicate, clearly and concisely, make recommendations, and gather team consensus to move forward with a range of associates, colleagues, senior executives and customers!
  • Ability and flexibility for domestic and international travel up to twenty percent (20%).

This position may be filled at a lower level depending on the successful candidate’s demonstrated experiences, skills, competencies and qualifications with the specific and desired requirements.
