A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Contract Manager (f/m/d) located in Erlangen for global Energy Projects you will be member of project execution teams crafting the energy landscape of the future. In this role, you will support Siemens Energy's project business by handling complex contractual matters. This includes analyzing contracts, identifying risks, negotiating agreements, and advising project and site management in large-scale projects.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Advice and support for customer contracts, consortium agreements, and sub-contracts to safeguard Siemens Energy’s rights and entitlements
- Support in contractual and commercial matters, including change order processes and review and drafting of correspondence
- Identification of technical, commercial, and contractual aspects for development of project-specific claim strategies
- Contribution to claim management through collection of project records, documentation, and pertinent facts for pursuing and defending claims
- Collaboration with legal teams in substantiating facts for quantum, time extensions, and defenses in arbitration proceedings
- Execution of quantum and delay analyses to establish causation for events impacting project schedule and scope of work
What You Bring
- Academic degree in technical field, business administration, law, or quantity surveying, with relevant academic or professional qualifications
- Long-term proven professional experience in contract and claim management, including contract analysis and drafting, or legal/commercial background with large-scale project expertise
- Knowledge of international EPC and construction contract terms and conditions (e.g., FIDIC, NEC)
- Experience in international teams and with contractual partners, willingness to travel nationally/internationally (15–20%)
- Negotiation proficiency in German and English; additional language skills an advantage
- Knowledge in valuation (engineering quantification, bills of quantities, unit rates, re-measurement) and scheduling/project controls an advantage
