A Snapshot of Your Day
As a key role in project commercial and financial management, you will cover the end-to-end process from order acquisition (bidding) to order execution (project delivery). You will work closely with Sales/Offer teams and the Project Manager (PM) team to secure the commercial bottom line and healthy cash flow, while improving project transparency and execution excellence within the compliance framework (Commercial Execution Excellence).

How You’ll Make an Impact

1) Bidding / Pricing Phase (BAS)
Define and optimize bidding/pricing strategy and the business model, balancing risk and return; support the team to win orders while safeguarding the company’s interests and positive cash flow.
Own end-to-end commercial scope during bidding: contract terms analysis, cost calculation and pricing logic, financing concepts, FX/currency and hedging, payment terms, credit rating, bonds/guarantees and insurances, export control, compliance, etc.; identify financial/commercial/legal/compliance risks and propose solutions and mitigation measures in alignment with the Offer team.
Drive and participate in commercial negotiations; ensure the risk level of terms & conditions remains within the approved limits; complete management approvals and escalations per the authorization mandate.
Ensure contracts are effective from both legal and accounting perspectives; ensure IFRS15 requirements are fulfilled before order recognition; complete proper documentation and traceable filing of commercial bidding materials.
Act as the commercial interface to facilitate cooperation among Sales, Offer, factories/delivery teams, and customers (including consortium partners).

2) Project Execution / Delivery Phase (CPM)
Manage project commercial activities per company processes and systems: SAP project set-up to closure, project financial position and project cost planning & controlling.
Manage change orders/claims/insurance claims and other commercial topics; maintain clear evidence and approval trails; drive commercial risks and opportunities (R&O) to closure.
Drive invoicing, revenue recognition, accounts receivable and cash collection.
Collaborate with PM, Controlling & accounting, Legal, Tax, Insurance, and other internal/external stakeholders to ensure on-time, on-cost, and on-quality delivery and achievement of commercial targets.
Support internal/external audits and local finance requirements; capture lessons learned and continuously improve and standardize commercial execution processes.
