A Snapshot of Your Day

We are looking for an experienced Sales Professional who will actively manage a designated account base creating business opportunities and drive customer satisfaction.

As a Client Manager, you will drive and coordinate all client activity during the various project development phases of an opportunity, deliver the successful sales campaigns and customized service for Gas Turbines in Oil & Gas, Mining, Industrial and Power Generation market segments.

In this role, you will be expected to liaise with the customers’ Engineering, Operation and Maintenance teams for early business development, manage the respective relationships and develop and implement the project sales strategies to secure orders for Siemens Energy products and services. You will identify the client project evaluators, influencers and decision-makers in the customer organization and drive Siemens Energy value at each stage of acquisition cycle.


How You’ll Make an Impact

  • The client manager acts as the customer facing lead to their dedicated accounts. 
  • The role will have a single responsibility with the assigned customers for all products within the Gas Service Distributed Business Area. Our customers are commonly international and national oil and gas, minerals and mining companies and engineering consultants.
  • This position will report to the Sub Region Pacific Sales Manager located in Australia.
  • The areas of responsibility cover the following:
    • Significant sales growth in the assigned accounts.
    • Responsible for Sales and profitability targets for the assigned accounts.
    • Leverage your key interpersonal skills and inquisitive nature to continuously build your customer knowledge to expand and create new opportunities.
    • Ensure and improve Customer Satisfaction with Siemens Energy by representing the customer in the broader Siemens Energy business and assisting with issue resolution.
    • Manage and update Account Strategy Plans for all assigned key customers (maintain and update the CRM tools).
    • Enhance relationships with relevant stakeholders and prospects leading to pipeline generation and ultimately to achieving revenue and profit targets.
    • Play a key role in developing and promoting campaigns and plans to help drive effective sales.
    • Proactively provide feedback and suggestions on improvement initiatives during the sales cycle, including feedback on our Wins & Losses.
    • Maintain timely market and competition situation analysis.


What You Bring 

  • Bachelor's Degree of Science in Engineering requires a minimum of 5 years of technical experience in the industry. Sales / business development experience will serve you well.
  • Turbo machinery experience required: Strong technical understanding of gas turbines, steam turbines or compressors is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and interact with all levels within customer organization, strong analytical and strategic thinker with a focus on technical differentiation and value selling.
  • Strong passion and proven success in achieving profitable business growth.
  • Good understanding of the oil & gas and industrial market in Australia and extensive relationships across the customer organizations.
  • Distinct customer orientation, strong customer interface skills.
  • Demonstrable evidence of successful projects or service business execution and Contract negotiation and management experience.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
