A Snapshot of Your Day

CNC Machinist will focus on two core areas: CNC Machining and Production, which involves the setup and operation of multi-axis machines for precision components, Quality Control and Maintenance, which covers part inspection, adherence to specifications, and routine equipment upkeep. This will be in our Rural Hall, North Carolina Location.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • 60% of the time will be in the CNC Machining and production area will set up and operate multi-axis CNC machines for gas and steam airfoil components according to engineering specifications and production schedules performing rough and finish machining operations, making approved edits to machine programs as necessary.
  • Will Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and other technical data to ensure accurate production operating material handling equipment, including overhead cranes, to move raw materials and finished parts.
  • Performing machining operations efficiently to meet established time standards and target expectations.
  • 40% of the time will be with Quality Control and Maintenance inspecting machined parts for conformance to print requirements using precision measuring devices and making necessary adjustments, identifying, deburr, and marking parts as required while documenting any non-conformances in the system.
  • Performing routine and preventative maintenance on equipment, including daily operational checks, to ensure proper functioning.
  • Maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe work area in compliance with all safety standards.

What You Bring

  • Evidence of a completed High School or GED is required.
  • Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in Machining Technology or equivalent vocational training is preferred.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, with specific experience in CNC milling or machining.
  • Mechanical Aptitude, experience in power tools, troubleshooting (Problem Solving), quality control, product inspection experience preferred.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
