A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in transforming SE into an integrated energy and technology company. Your day will be dynamic and fast-paced, driving sales activities across our diverse portfolio during a challenging transformation period. You will collaborate closely with our Business Areas to develop innovative, decarbonized energy solutions, ensuring that your creative ideas are implemented and make a real impact.
Your role will require a passion for teamwork and the ability to foster strong relationships. You will be at the forefront of our mission to lead the energy transformation, with your contributions directly influencing our success. Additionally, you will have ample opportunities for personal and professional growth, staying at the forefront of industry developments and expanding your knowledge beyond your current expertise.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Matching customer demands with SE portfolio and strategy in East Germany, identifying leads
- Tapping new growth areas, developing a strong sales funnel, and maturing opportunities
- Collaborating across regions in Hub Europe and consulting experts for lead qualification
- Identifying local value add elements and supporting the establishment of suitable business models
- Networking within the energy and industry sectors in East Germany
- Understanding and utilizing funding opportunities in Germany and the EU for strategic development
- Establishing close and trustful customer relations, designing conceptual solutions, and positioning Siemens Energy early
- Supporting SE Sales Funnel transparency, capturing leads in Salesforce, driving lead qualification into high potential opportunities, and contributing lessons learned from previous offers and projects
- Flexibility with travel activities over 50% of the time, working both in the office and from home as part of the “Better together” philosophy
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field with relevant sales management experience in technical capital equipment, solutions, and service, or mid-term direct experience in the gas, chemical, petrochemical, or oil industry with strong sales background and senior-level customer engagement
- Expertise in Power-to-X projects or the hydrogen business
- Deep understanding of the European energy landscape and industry, with emphasis on decarbonization
- Basic knowledge in process technology and solution business
- Competence as a conceptual problem solver
- Demonstrated versatility, creativity, and agility, coupled with a proactive, hands-on approach
- Ability to define tangible concepts and business cases, considering risks and feasibility
- Passion for renewable energy markets
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and Salesforce, fluent German speaker with professional English communication skills
