A Snapshot of Your Day

We are seeking a skilled Turbine Blade Technician to join our team on the day shift, specializing in steam turbine rotating and stationary equipment. The ideal candidate will be proficient in a variety of tasks including deblading, wheel and blade inspection, shroud manufacturing, peening tenons, and installing seals. This role demands a strong commitment to quality and precision, ensuring all work follows technical specifications and industry standards. Candidates must have hands-on experience working with steam turbines and demonstrate the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced repair environment.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Perform and supervise installation, removal, and precision fitting of various OEM blade styles, seals, and keys on gas turbine rotors and stationary components, ensuring tight tolerances and compliance with specifications.
  • Utilize mills, presses, grinding machines, and precision measurement instruments such as micrometers and dial gauges to implement high-quality mechanical maintenance tasks.
  • Read and interpret manufacturing prints and technical drawings independently, applying international codes and standards to assess and document component conditions.
  • Operate forklifts and overhead cranes safely and efficiently to support disassembly, reassembly, and transport of turbine components within workshop and field environments.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities using digital tools and Microsoft Office applications, giving to quality assurance and project reporting.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and dedication by working weekends, overtime, and holidays as needed, while upholding HSE standards and collaborating optimally with diverse, international teams.

What You Bring

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience blading and repairing rotating steam turbines
  • Skilled in blade installation/removal, seal fitting, and precision work using mills, presses, and grinding tools.
  • Proficient with micrometers, dial gauges, and interpreting manufacturing prints to meet tight tolerances.
  • Experienced in operating forklifts, overhead cranes, and using basic computer applications like Microsoft Office.
  • Flexible to work weekends, overtime, and holidays, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and partnership.

Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
