Leading the casting qualification process within a challenged and complex supply chain.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Provide manufacturing input into the design process to improve casting process yields and costs.
  • Manage qualification of internal and external suppliers for the investment casting of turbine blades, vanes, and ring segments.
  • Establish manufacturing timelines for development, qualification, first set production, and lead execution to the agreed plan.
  • Resolving technical issues together with Design, Quality, Manufacturing, and Supplier technical leads.
  • Drive the development and implementation of design changes and technical solutions along with the identification of cost reductions.

What You Bring

  • 8+ years of experience working with Conventional and Directional Solidification (DS) casting processes and methods. Those with more experience may be considered for a higher level.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in engineering, Project Management, or related field; degree in progress with combined equivalent working experience will also suffice.
  • Knowledge and experience with the Product Process and Qualification (PPQ) Process for blades, vanes, and ring segments preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to manage complex projects. Work well within a team environment
  • Ability to identify potential manufacturing issues and drive process resolution/improvements.
  • You are based in the Cleveland, OH area.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
