Your profile

  • ·         As Proposal Manager (f/m/d) you will be responsible for tender preparation, tender coordination and tender tracking of complex turbo compressor projects for our international customers in the air separation industry, oil & gas, metallurgy and chemicals.
  • ·         In addition, you will analyze customer requirements and translate them into a competitive offer with the involvement of an interdisciplinary team of engineers and business people.
  • ·         You design turbo compressors with the aid of technical calculation programs.
  • ·         You check the technical feasibility of the machine concepts you develop and identify project risks or opportunities.
  • ·         You determine the costs and the associated delivery time for the scope of delivery you have planned.
  • ·         You continuously monitor the project status and independently ensure target-oriented and complete communication within the project team and the cooperating specialist departments.
  • ·         You conduct project negotiations together with the sales team at home and abroad and represent your quotation to the customer as quotation project manager.
  • ·         You will also be responsible for handing over the order to the project management and the engineering departments in charge.
  • ·         Conceptual solution development, including project screening, to develop unique selling propositions for all opportunities the business proposes (may be in consultation with Sales Managers as required)
  • ·         Support Sales Managers in negotiation and technical presentation of the proposed solution to the customers
  • ·         Prepare technical LoA and comply with LOA process for each firm offer/contract, including drafting of technical comments to client specs and gaining Product Manager approval.
  • ·         Prepare (together with headquarter assistance) & present technical papers on product developments and applications to targeted conferences throughout the region
  • ·         Technical and cost responsibility of proposed equipment
  • ·         Support Sales Managers in hand over of awarded projects to project management / engineering department
  • ·         Keep track of technical developments of competition. Track and record what solutions are being offered in the regional market by competitors
  • ·         Must be self-motivated, results oriented, and be flexible to work well under tight schedules in a fast-paced team environment.

Your Qualification

  • ·         A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering A minimum of 5-8 years of experience with design and features of centrifugal compressors, steam turbines.
  • ·         Proficiency in presenting to customer’s technical specialists, to convince them of the Siemens compressor capabilities.
  • ·         Traveling for meetings, trainings and customer negotiation.
