A Snapshot of Your Day

You are involved in delivering industrial automation solutions from engineering design through commissioning. Your day-to-day work includes translating customer requirements into functional automation designs, developing PLC and SCADA systems, and supporting project execution activities.

You collaborate closely with project managers, electrical engineers, service teams, and global Siemens Energy experts to ensure solutions are delivered safely, on time, and in line with customer expectations.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Analyze customer requirements and prepare functional specifications for automation systems
• Design PLC and SCADA architectures using Siemens platforms (S7, TIA Portal, PCS7)
• Develop control logic, HMI applications, and system configurations
• Participate in FAT, SAT, commissioning, and start-up activities
• Work collaboratively with project managers, electrical, mechanical, and service teams to ensure integrated project delivery
• Coordinate with site engineers, subcontractors, and customers during execution and commissioning phases
• Share technical knowledge and lessons learned within the TI EAD Malaysia and global engineering community

Team Collaboration & Ways of Working

• Actively collaborate within cross-functional project teams including engineering, project management, procurement, and service
• Engage with global Siemens Energy engineering hubs to align on standards, best practices, and technical solutions
• Support junior engineers and peers through technical guidance and knowledge sharing
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and customers to ensure transparency and alignment throughout the project lifecycle
• Contribute to a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the team

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, or related discipline
• 1–2+ years of experience in industrial automation or control systems projects
• Hands-on knowledge of PLC, SCADA, and industrial communication networks
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Good communication skills and a proactive, learning-oriented mindset

About the Team

You will be part of the Siemens Energy Transformation of Industry (TI) – EAD Malaysia team, working in a collaborative and diverse environment.

The team partners closely with regional and global colleagues to deliver automation and digitalization solutions that support customers in their decarbonization and energy transition journeys.
