A Snapshot of Your Day

This request is for a replacement Wind Turbine Technician within the Onshore Service Operations team for North America. The role is crucial for maintaining the operational availability and performance of wind turbine assets by executing maintenance, diagnostics, and repair activities. To meet these objectives, this role definition is structured around three core areas: hands-on Turbine Maintenance and Repair, advanced Diagnostics and Technical Analysis, and rigorous adherence to Safety, Quality, and Reporting standards. This approach ensures all aspects of on-site service, from physical repairs to data-driven problem-solving and compliance, are covered. Given the focus on complex technical work and team support, the ideal candidate will possess extensive experience with mechanical, hydraulic, and high-voltage electrical systems. Requirements include proven troubleshooting capabilities, proficiency with diagnostic tools, and a strong commitment to safety protocols, typically supported by vocational training and several years of field experience.

  • Basic training within the iron and metal industry and/or electrical field
  • Hands-on experience with electro-technical and hydraulic machinery

What You Bring

  • Ability to learn basic electrical and/or mechanical skills.
  • Associates degree or 1-2 years of vocational technical training preferred. HS diploma or equivalent required. Specialized skill training/certification may be required.
  • Position requires that employees be able to ascend to heights up to 250 feet or greater, work in confined spaces and
  • discern colors.
  • Flexibility to travel from site to site, Travel is expected to be 25%
  • Hands experience working with electrical systems including PLC programming and converters.
  • Meet body weight restrictions of 265 pounds or less (safety regulation on the equipment to use)
