A Snapshot of Your Day
As an AM Grit-Blast Technician, you will play a key role in the post-processing of 3D-printed metal parts, ensuring that surfaces are cleaned, prepared, and finished to the highest standard. Your day will involve operating grit-blasting equipment, carrying out inspections, and collaborating with colleagues to deliver high-quality additive manufacturing solutions safely and efficiently.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Operate grit-blasting equipment to clean, prepare, and finish surfaces of various materials.
- Select appropriate grit media and adjust equipment settings according to material type and specifications.
- Inspect surfaces before and after blasting to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Perform routine maintenance on grit-blasting equipment to keep processes running smoothly.
- Follow all health and safety protocols, including the correct use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area.
- Accurately document work and report issues or defects to supervisors.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet production schedules and deadlines.
What You Bring
- Experience with grit blasting or similar surface preparation techniques (preferred but not essential).
- Strong attention to detail and good manual dexterity.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- A team player with good communication skills.
- A safety-first mindset with knowledge of manufacturing safety procedures.

Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
