Position Title: Accounting Senior Professional
A Snapshot of Your Day
As an Accounting Senior Professional, you will play a key role in managing the financial accounting and reporting activities for Siemens Gamesa’s African entities. This role has been created as part of the transition of accounting responsibilities from Spain to South Africa, offering you the opportunity to contribute to a critical transformation within the organization.
You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with IFRS and local regulations, and continuous improvement of accounting processes.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Manage monthly and quarterly closing activities, including revenue recognition, fixed assets, and bank reconciliations
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for assigned African entities in line with group deadlines
- Perform and oversee general ledger reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies
- Conduct quarterly Balance Sheet reviews with in-depth analysis of outstanding items
- Act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders (Business Units, Global Service Centers) and external partners (Auditors, Banks)
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and local accounting standards, in collaboration with central accounting teams
- Monitor financial operations to ensure alignment with accounting policies and regulatory requirements
- Provide guidance to stakeholders on financial reporting and accounting treatments
- Lead and contribute to process improvement initiatives and accounting-related projects
- Analyze and optimize existing accounting workflows, with a focus on automation and digitalization
- Support the enhancement of closing and reporting frameworks in collaboration with business stakeholders
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (BCom or equivalent)
- 3–5+ years of experience in financial accounting and reporting
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and standard accounting practices
- Experience working with SAP and ERP systems
- Strong analytical and financial reporting skills
- Professional certifications such as CA(SA) or CIMA are a plus

- High level of accountability and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage complex tasks under deadlines
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders
