The Production Supervisor is responsible for manufacturing product using safe and efficient manufacturing processes through the management of the production team members.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • The Production Supervisor is responsible for manufacturing product using safe and efficient manufacturing processes through the management of the production team members.
  • Oversees the production process making sure products are produced safely ensuring the highest quality and timeliness and with a commitment to process improvement and business initiatives including Six Sigma, 5S, and Lean Manufacturing.
  • Under minimal direction, supervises all production employees, safety, scheduling assignments, line balancing, evaluation, and control of build, monitoring of fulfillment of customer production and quality requirements, control of scrap and rework, efficiency, application of overtime, and documentation of these activities.
  • Acts as the primary contact for in house departments for production related issues in assigned area and must be able to manage a diverse group of people, motivating staff to work together as one team.
  • Strong leadership skill is the most important personal requirement that allows the Production Supervisor to perform within the role

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BS/BA), Associate’s degree or equivalent work-related experience
  • 3+ years of direct supervisory experience and 5+ plus years of manufacturing experience involving assembly work, welding and/or machining.
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and or 5S. Working knowledge of MRP and Quality Control systems a plus
  • Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team environment with production management skills and experience providing effective leadership to a range of employees with regard to business priorities
  • Reviews, tracks, and analyzes daily operating results, meets daily with subordinates, and consults with supervisors on solutions to production problems. Ensures that problems have been corrected. Maintains cooperation between departments
