A Snapshot of Your Day

As Team Lead – Senior Tax Specialist in our Tax Intelligence team, you will lead a team of four in driving tax digitalization projects and ensuring compliance with European VAT and direct tax regulations. You’ll collaborate closely with Finance, IT, and SAP teams to integrate tax requirements into business processes, optimize VAT workflows, and support data-driven decision-making. In this strategic and hands-on role, you’ll help shape the tax digitalization roadmap alongside the Head of Tax Intelligence.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Lead and develop digitalization tax projects, aligning with country tax leaders to shape the digitalization strategy.
• Drive and support global tax application projects to ensure multi-jurisdictional tax compliance, working cross-functionally with finance and IT.
• Define tax requirements in collaboration with SAP experts and integrate them into business processes and systems.
• Lead and optimize VAT-related processes in SAP to improve efficiency and compliance.
• Analyze tax data to support informed decision-making and maintain compliance with evolving regulations.
• Monitor legislative changes, update processes accordingly, and provide training and mentorship on tax matters to internal partners.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Solid expertise in European VAT and direct tax regulations, including compliance frameworks such as DAC 6, DAC 7, and Pillar II, with 3–5 years of experience in tax compliance or advisory roles.
• Shown leadership experience (1–2 years) in leading and developing teams within Finance and Tax functions.
• Proficient in SAP (finance and tax modules) and tax reporting tools, with a strong background in handling tax processes and ensuring accurate reporting.
• Skilled in data analysis, data management, and leveraging data-driven insights for tax-related decision-making.
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, strong communication abilities, and proficiency in English, with the ability to manage multiple tasks independently.
