Mechanical Product Design Engineering work focuses on designing and developing mechanical products, components, or systems including. Applying mechanical engineering principles to develop products, components, and systems that involve movement (e.g., engines, vehicles, robots, prosthetic devices, energy conversion systems, machinery, etc.). Supporting and participating in the design, test, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototype mechanical products and assemblies. Collaborating with marketing and industrial design teams to develop products that meet technical/functional specifications as well as manufacturing cost/efficiency requirements. May also be involved with designing product specific manufacturing production processes and equipment

How You’ll Make an Impact

·         As an engineer in blade structural design team, you will be responsible for the blade structural design activities and play active role in gate reviews based Internal design rules, certification criteria’s structural analysis.

·         Ability to propose cost-effective and optimal composite lay-up designs to meet structural requirements.

·         You will own and responsible for technical decisions on all structural related programs.

·         You will assist and mentor structural designers wherever required by closely working with team.

·         Play vital role in blade structural domain, drive innovation and continuous improvements.

What You Bring

·         You must have Postgraduate / PhD in Mechanical / Aerospace Structures / Civil Structures / Relevant engineering from Premier Institutes

·         You must have minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in wind blade structural analysis and design.

·         Solid understanding of Conceptual design, detailed structural design and manufacturing of wind turbine rotor blade.

·         Good Knowledge of wind turbine blade materials, loads, GD&T, creating specifications, resolving NCs.

·         Support factories when new design is in production during initial phases.

·         Good hold on ANSYS CLASSIC, high-fidelity FE modeling, MATLAB.

·         Good understanding of DFMEA, risk assessments and 8D/RCA process.

·         Working with partners on design developments and part of blade supplier qualification process

·         Should be outgoing, determined, good team player, inclusive with global team members and persistent with strong communication and collaboration skills. Drive technical solutions, review with internal team and solution providers working across the globe, should be ready to travel to meet the business requirements.
