A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Strategic Demand Planner, you will be an essential part of the Blades & Vanes Network Strategy team, focusing on forecast validation and break-down to the manufacturing network. This role will analyze and visualize long-term forecast data, identify gaps and be responsible to balance forecast volumes with Global Functions. As a key expert for planning, the position supports data automatization and visualization as well as the introduction of a data-driven Sales and Operations Planning tools. Furthermore, actively manage partnerships with key teams such as Global Planning, Procurement, Product Management and the Competence Centers.

  • Enhancing Forecast Accuracy: By validating data inputs and automatized breakdowns to suppliers.
  • Driving process harmonization: Through the introduction of a global long-term planning process.
  • Driving Innovation: By introducing advanced analytics and machine learning solutions to solve complex network problems.
  • Improving Efficiency: By optimizing the demand planning process.
  • Identifying Trends and Opportunities: By analyzing large datasets.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; Master’s degree highly preferred (in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field). 3+ years industry experience.
  • Technical Expertise: Knowledge about Blades and Vanes, expertise in planning methodologies and tools is a plus! Strong ability to analyze complex datasets, identify patterns, and derive actionable insights.
  • Problem-Solving: Innovative thinking to tackle challenging problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Clearly communicate findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience working in cross-functional teams and collaborating with colleagues from different departments.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to learn new tools and techniques as the field of demand planning evolves.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

Gas Services

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
