As a Local content specialist & Proposal Engineer you will play a key role in the preparation of Technical and Commercial Proposals for New Equipment, controlling local content achievement on projects and supporting to stablish relation with the local authorities. You will also be involved in supporting the organization in deal closing and Client opportunity discussions.

You will develop technical solutions using Siemens Energy application tools and processes. In addition, you will also develop commercial offerings within the pricing guidelines and commercial governance requirements of Siemens Energy This is a unique opportunity to work as part of a global team that develops technical solutions and written proposals that instill confidence within Clients, distinguish us favorably from our competition, and win new business for Siemens Energy.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Responsible for management and tracking of the projects’ Local Content (LC) during bid and execution phase.
• Engaging with government and accredited entities for up-to-date information in local content legislation.
• Creation and issuance of LC Reports, internally and to customers.
• Participation in Oil & Gas events and ANP public hearings.
• Engaging and developing local suppliers to maximize Local Content capabilities.
• Constant interaction with all areas in search of risks and opportunities regarding projects’ LC.
• Review & interpret client requisitions & specifications for Brazilian & Americas projects.
• Develop Siemens Energy equipment solutions.
• Coordinate with Operations, Finance, Cost Estimating, Engineering & Supply Chain to prepare Technical & Commercial proposals meeting client requirements.
• Participate in internal, client & local authority meetings.

What you Bring

• Engineering Degree from an accredited higher education institution or equivalent work experience, with at least 8 years of experience in a relevant role.
• 5 years on proved experience in O&G with local content regulatory and Brazilian authorities
• 5 years as proposal engineer.
• Problem solving & critical thinking skills;
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills in English.
• Previous proved experience with rotating equipment will be a differential.
• Proved experience on commercial and international negotiations will be a differential.
• Flexibility to accommodate meeting in different time zones.
• Experience on global environment communication.
