A Snapshot of Your Day

We are seeking a (Senior) Strategy Consultant. As a (Senior) Consultant, you will drive strategic projects across our global business—shaping what those projects are by identifying key business needs, initiating high‑impact initiatives, and partnering closely with our operational units to bring them to life. You will collaborate daily with cross‑functional teams and take ownership of 2–3 work modules, using your analytical strength to develop solutions to complex challenges and communicate them effectively to senior stakeholders. You will join a talented, supportive team that offers strong development opportunities, and after roughly three years in the Business Strategy Team, this role serves as an excellent springboard for a global career within Siemens Energy.


How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Managing 2–3 modules of strategic projects that create real impact for Siemens Energy and the Energy Transition, ranging from market analyses to growth and competitor assessments
  • Leading cross‑functional teams within your modules and building a strong internal network across the organization
  • Analyzing complex business problems and brainstorming creative, data‑driven solutions with talented colleagues
  • Challenging the status quo by leveraging your industry expertise to identify and shape new business opportunities
  • Collaborating closely with operational units to initiate, structure, and execute high‑impact strategic initiatives
  • Developing your skillset through extensive on‑the‑job learning, coaching from senior colleagues, and dedicated trainings and job shadowing


What You Bring

  • Masters degree preferred
  • 5 or more years of professional experience in the Grid Technologies business with an in-depth knowledge about the industry and current trends. Candidates with more experience can be considered for a higher level or vice-versa.
  • Prior experience with strategy‑related tasks, ideally gained through special assignments or project work
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to structure complex topics
  • Excellent communication skills demonstrated in diverse, dynamic environments
  • High motivation, solution orientation, and a collaborative mindset with a strong commitment to team success

Travel, as needed (~30% domestically and internationally).

Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.


About the Team

We are a great team of strategy and energy enthusiasts with backgrounds in consulting, strategy, operations, sales and business management. We operate primarily from our newly designed office in Erlangen (home office is also possible). We work closely with the Grid Technology Management, the Execution Units, and the Regions to drive strategic projects of our business area. We share an ambition to create change within the company paired with the desire to develop ourselves for future leadership positions.
