A Snapshot of Your Day

We’re looking for hard-working senior project manager to join the SGT6-5000F Product Engineering team in Orlando. As a senior project manager, your day centers around the technical development of the 5000F product. The project manager is the cognizant lead engineer for Gas Turbine new unit and Modernizations & Upgrade products for SGT6-5000F! The scope of responsibility extends to coordinating support from all other organizations directed towards development, negotiations and implementations for the new unit and Modernizations and Upgrade (M&U) product line!

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Lead and Implement R&D projects while adhering to budget, timeline, and technical requirements.
  • Direct and lead multiple product development teams and efforts including, Program planning, Business case support, Product development process, Risk assessment, Procurement, Manufacturing support and Product implementation and logistics
  • Provide engineering support for the implementation of products once sold including commissioning and testing, Validation planning and developing customer information / instructions
  • Lead component Integration efforts with vendors, manufacturing, field service, and customers Support customer meetings and industry technical conferences. Provide technical support to marketing in support of proposals for the sale of new unit and Modernization & Upgrades.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills. Lead and/or guide product development efforts to support project teams with your expertise throughout the entire product development process.
  • Lead product level design reviews with multi-disciplinary teams.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university/college. Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Minimum 8+ years of successful experience in a gas turbine development environment with extensive understanding of gas turbine design, operational aspects & improvement levers.
  • Strong program management skills, communications skills, network building, and solid engineering background. Ability to lead and motivate a multi-disciplinary team in a dynamic, project-oriented environment. Proven examples of proactive leadership and initiative.
  • Strong ability to identify and understand problems and opportunities by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting quantitative and qualitative information.
  • Create an environment (culture) that inspires people to generate novel solutions with measurable value for existing and potential customers (internal or external). Encourage experimentation with new ways to solve work problems and seize opportunities that result in unique and differentiated solutions.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

Gas Services

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
