A Snapshot of Your Day

The Senior Engineer is responsible for planning, executing, and supervising piping fabrication, erection, and assembly activities related to gas compressor skid and package piping projects. The role ensures compliance with applicable codes, quality standards, and safety requirements while coordinating with cross-functional teams and Contractors.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Hands-on experience in piping fabrication and assembly
  • Compressor leveling, alignment, torque tightening & flange management
  • Experience with skid-mounted & Foundation mounted gas compressor packages
  • Knowledge of WPS, PQR, and WPQ
  • Welding processes: SMAW & GTAW
  • NDT coordination: RT, UT, PT, MT, VT
  • Standards: ASME Section II, V, IX; ASME B31.3; AWS D1.1
  • Ability to read P&ID, Isometrics, GA Drawings
  • Problem-solving tools: 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram
  • Identify quality non-conformities, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Participate in internal and external audits, ensuring readiness of the packaging shop for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and other system compliance audits.

What You Bring           

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience (Mandatory)
  • Proven experience in piping Welding, fabrication, erection, and assembly
  • Experience in reciprocating and Integral gear compressor skid piping, package piping, and system assembly
  • Production planning and execution as per project schedule
  • Supervision of piping fabrication, erection, and assembly activities
  • Coordination with QA/QC, Stores, Contractors, and NDT agencies
  • Ensure compliance with quality and safety requirements
  • Maintain production and quality documentation
  • Contractor Management
  • Conduct regular reviews on safety, housekeeping, equipment condition, and operational discipline within shop area.
  • Implement lessons learned from previous projects and incorporate them into ongoing process improvement initiatives.
  • Drive continuous quality improvement initiatives to reduce rework, improve first time quality, and enhance product reliability.
  • Maintain accurate EHS records, training logs, inspection reports, and incident/near-miss documentation for audit readiness and regulatory compliance.
  • Work closely with QA/QC teams to ensure all inspection and testing requirements are completed and documented as per project ITPs.
