A Snapshot of Your Day
The Project Certification Manager is a key role within the Offshore Wind Business, focusing on the delivery of large-scale offshore wind-turbine-related interface and certification tasks in global markets. As part of the CLR (Certification & Local Regulations) team, the role is allocated within the SEWP (Siemens Energy Wind Power) - Project Execution - Engineering unit and reports to the separate project managers for projects. You will act as the technical project manager among projects in APAC to support the developer in acquiring the project certificate.

How You’ll Make an Impact
Implementing robust and feasible certification strategies and plans with the project team and the global certification experts’ team.
The candidate is to support the tendering and manage the project certification scope against contracts and employer requirements for project certification, i.e., for site-specific wind turbine generator RNA & tower design against specific standards, project-specific conditions, and related local requirements.
The function focuses on establishing and maintaining relationships with local stakeholders such as developers, design consultants, certification bodies, local authorities, and senior professionals validating the certification documentation.
Focus is to comply with company engineering standards and technical acceptance criteria, on loads iteration scope, while ensuring quality of documentation, application of best practices, and adherence to the highest HSE performance principles.

What You Bring 
Education and Experience
Master’s degree or PHD in Mechanical/ Structural/ Aeronautics/ Electrical Engineering, with a minimum of 4 years working experience. Specific experience with offshore/ onshore wind turbines will be looked upon favourably. 
Excellent knowledge of global offshore industry technical codes, design standards, and certification requirements, preferably WTG related.
Strong written and verbal English communication skills, presentation skills, ideally combined with one Asian market language skill.
Proven experience in executing and managing structural design of turbine or larger-scale infrastructure. 
Quick grasp of technical context and coherence.
Open personality, capable of running an effective stakeholder manager at all hierarchy levels and cultures.

Preferred skills
Excellent reporting in writing, outstanding presentation skills and ability to summarize and communicated key parameters and drivers impacting the project. 
Achieved chartered status in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Civil/ Structural/ Engineering, or equivalent national status.
Experience of procuring and managing design works, including commercial knowledge. 
Able to work with a geographically diverse team, within the assigned project region and internationally.
Experience of programme management, project management and risk identification and mitigation. 
Excellent relationship management skills and confidence working with Senior Management and Senior Experts
