A Snapshot of Your Day

In this role, you will play a central part in shaping the future of our global Production IT landscape within Siemens Gamesa. Your day will alternate between defining and developing production IT architecture, leading complex implementation initiatives, and engaging with key stakeholders across our global manufacturing network. Whether you are designing next‑generation IT standards for our factories, resolving high‑priority technical challenges, or steering strategic transitions, your work will directly impact the stability, efficiency, and scalability of our production environments worldwide.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Develop and own the global IT architecture for the Wind Power production environment, including standards for restricted clients and hand scanners
  • Lead the transition from an external service model to a sustainable, internally managed production IT setup
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies to secure a future‑proof and efficient production IT landscape
  • Oversee implementation of new production IT systems and infrastructure upgrades, ensuring alignment with operational requirements
  • Establish and enforce operational processes and SLAs while serving as the senior technical escalation point for complex issues
  • Collaborate closely with Onsite Service teams and the Digital Core organization to ensure deployment quality, strategic alignment, and effective leadership communication

What You Bring

  • A bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent qualifications gained through practical experience, combined with extensive experience in IT infrastructure management within manufacturing environments
  • Proven experience independently leading complex IT projects and managing system architecture, including vendor to internal service transitions
  • Strong technical expertise in IT infrastructure architecture, systems integration, device management, industrial IT/OT, and network technologies
  • Solid background in IT project management, ITSM, vendor management, and technical documentation
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, along with advanced problem solving abilities and strategic thinking
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capabilities, with the ability to guide and review technical teams

About the Team

You will join Siemens Gamesa’s Wind Power division, supporting a production landscape essential to manufacturing the wind turbines powering the global energy transition. Our team is responsible for building a robust, scalable, and secure Production IT environment across multiple factories and countries. You will work closely with colleagues in Operations, Onsite Services, and Corporate IT to ensure seamless integration of systems, technologies, and workflows that keep our production running efficiently and reliably.
