A Snapshot of Your Day
This position requires the successful candidate to support some of the production scheduling and material requirement planning aspects of the Compressor Component products manufacturing and service repair area within Siemens Energy Gas Turbine products division.
The Production Demand Planner is responsible to provide key SAP interface for materials needed within production orders so they can be picked, confirmed, and staged for production. Also, to assist in some level of work center scheduling, capacity planning and communication of machine tool capabilities
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Provide analyses and data to build plans for production strategies, capacity plans, capital and development plans and production requirements.
- Assist in the confirmation of hours booked within SAP and provide detailed reports for operational reviews.
- SAP system conflict resolutions.
- Monitor customer production requirements and coordinate schedule adjustments when required.
- Coordinate the production material requirement logistics and timing.
- Provide detailed work center scheduling.
- Work with the shop support groups to assure required tools and information are available when needed on shop floor.
- Study daily operating results, meet daily with supervisors on solutions to production problems. Ensure that problems have been corrected. Maintain cooperation between departments across campus.
- Facilitate non-conformance rework planning and provide detailed scheduling.
- Facilitate bottle neck resolution activities.
- Provide production reports and metrics, and pro-actively influence decisions that impact the results to established short- and long-range goals.
- Responsible for reporting performance against operating plans and standards.
- Coordinate with business partners the movement of material both systematically and physically
What You Bring
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to evaluate options and make decisions, work as a team player, and contribute toward team goals.
Incumbent will possess an associate degree or skill trade with equivalent experience. A bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) is an asset but not necessary. A minimum of 2 years manufacturing experience in scheduling, line supervision, industrial engineering, or production control.

The Compressor Component products manufacturing area within Siemens Energy Gas Turbine products division primarily manufactures replacement parts, offers service and repairs for the large Gas Turbine compressor and turbine section components. The manufacturing line is set up to satisfy the various long term preventative maintenance/ spare parts/ service programs we offer to our end customers.
