A Snapshot of Your Day 

SE’s pension management team has the financial responsibility for group-wide end-to-end global pension management (in close alignment with the HR strategy) to safeguard Siemens Energy’s financial goals.

You will be part of the Strategy, Projects and Global Risk Management (SPR) team and in your new role, assist the team in the areas of global risk management and Governance as well as ad- hoc projects (e.g. M&A, strategic pension projects). You will have a special focus on German trusts (trust management, accounting and asset performance).

Being part of an international diverse global pension team, you constantly gain valuable insights into global financial pension management.

How You’ll Make an Impact 

With focus to the German Pension Plans you:
  • Administrate the German pension trusts (e.g. organization and moderation of trust meetings as well as coordination of committee members and their appointments)
  • Support the coordination of all local external service providers (e.g. asset managers, investment consultants, auditors, actuaries, custodian) 
  • Execute the monthly accurate delivery of assets to Group reporting
  • Execute and monitor fundings for the relevant DB plans, including liquidity management
  • Perform monthly/quarterly/annual accounting and controlling/consolidation processes, including delivery for internal & external reporting as well as forecasting & budgeting: IFRS and HGB
  • Are the point of contact for the external auditor, support and coordinate any regulatory requirements as well as local actuaries, and manage the internal local interfaces such as Accounting & Controlling, Legal, Human Resources, and Tax
  • Continuously analyze the processes in Regional Management for potential improvements and implement the identified optimizations 
  • Keep an eye out for new developments in digitalization and implement new tools to improve quality and ease of work
In your global role, you:
  • Assist Governance activities, in particular monitoring of global pension guidelines and exception management (e.g. Approval Process)
  • Support in project management, senior management reporting, decision proposals as well as ad-hoc projects such as M&A activities and pension optimization projects
What You Bring
  • You successfully completed a university bachelor’s or master’s degree in (economic) mathematics, business administration/economics or similar areas, ideally with a specialization in Finance (e.g. financial markets or accounting and controlling)
  • You have at least 3-5 years of experience in Corporate Finance, ideally in German pension environment
  • You are characterized by very good Microsoft Office knowledge, in particular Excel and Powerpoint with further ambitions to automation tools
  • Personally, you convince us through initiative and your careful working style, and pro-actively look for solutions and approaches on how to achieve the common goals
  • You are proficient in the German language and your English language is very well spoken and written in order to exchange ideas with colleagues and service providers nationally and internationally.
  • Due to your open-minded character, you stand out and you are always keen to learn. Moreover, you are curious about an international diverse team and its widespread activities in international Pension Management.
