Join Siemens Energy as a Senior Negotiation Lead in our Corporate Strategic Procurement Department, where you will be instrumental in shaping and driving high-stakes negotiation strategies that produce significant value for the company. Imagine being the go-to expert, providing both hands-on and strategic guidance to transform settings and outcomes. Each day, the role will engage in impactful discussions, optimize supplier agreements, and enhance procurement processes. Your expertise will directly influence our corporate procurement strategies, making a meaningful contribution to Siemens Energy’s mission of reimagining energy for a sustainable world.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Collaborate with our commodity managers to prepare, develop, and implement negotiation strategies that optimize supplier agreements, achieving significant impact through cost optimization and cost recovery.
  • Act as a lead-negotiator in challenging discussions with key suppliers to achieve favorable terms and conditions.
  • Establish a negotiation-competence hub in collaboration with colleagues, serving the needs of a globally operating blue-chip company.
  • Validate and shape how targets and outcomes are defined; Collaborate cross-functionally to align strategies with overall procurement objectives and advise Procurement executives.
  • Provide guidance and training to the procurement team on standard processes.
  • Engage with our commodity managers to ensure that outcomes and lessons learned are feedback into respective corporate procurement strategies.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or a related field is preferred. 8+ years hands-on experience in high-stakes negotiations as a senior negotiator in strategic procurement, backed by a proven record of success.
  • In-depth understanding of negotiation principles, practices, and procedures; proven ability to lead complex negotiations, consistently achieving favorable outcomes.
  • Superior analytical and critical thinking capabilities; outstanding communication and negotiation skills!
  • Ability to coach and challenge colleagues across different levels of seniority. Experience in building strong internal networks and effectively advocating for ideas within the organization.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
