A Snapshot of Your Day

Join our dynamic Production Engineering team at Siemens Energy as a Medium/High Voltage Testing Subject Matter Expert (SME) and play a crucial role in shaping the future of energy technology! You will be at the forefront of maintaining and implementing calibration and maintenance plans for our advanced subsea electrical testing infrastructure. Imagine enhancing our testing capabilities while ensuring the highest safety standards. You’ll collaborate closely with our Product Development and R&D Testing teams, providing hands-on assistance during test setups and qualification phases, all while driving innovation in the energy sector.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Become the Appointed Person (AP) for the MV/HV testing discipline, ensuring compliance and safety.
  • Take ownership of the Safe System of Work (SSoW) for MV/HV testing, continuously developing and improving it.
  • Oversee maintenance, calibration strategies, and reliability programs for MV/HV electrical testing assets.
  • Collaborate with Product Development Engineering and R&D Testing teams to define requirements for custom electrical testing setups.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and participate in troubleshooting and root cause analysis of products under test.

What You Bring

  • A Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in an MV/HV testing-focused role, showcasing your expertise.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical testing equipment and methodologies, including AC, DC, and partial discharge testing.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to MV/HV systems, such as IEEE and IEC.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, along with strong communication abilities.
