A Snapshot of Your Day

You will simultaneously manage multiple steam service projects at Charlotte Steam Plant to support and facilitate the growing Steam Modification business. To support customer requirements or upcoming technical revisions, you will need to coordinate the changes and complete change orders once approved. Collaborating with our SE international manufacturing network is essential to ensure timely deliveries.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Successful customer visits require pre-project planning, obtain status, and prepare witness points.  Steam energy experience a PLUS.
  • To cope with the wide range of organizational involvements you coordinate information and logistics between internal business partners and/or the external customer/vendors.
  • To keep the project on track you coordinate project progress by facilitating discussions on lessons learned at the end of each project.
  • Status updates, in both written and verbal formats to greater project team and/or customers is imports for customer satisfaction and allover internal communication.
  • Monetary success of the company will rely on the PM’s responsibility to monitor and report financial development during the project (budget vs actuals)
  • Contractual requirements will necessitate to obtain quality documentations (QSTs) according to statutory clauses. Deviation to contracts will require you to managing emergent contract issues. A successful project is reflected by proactively resolve project issues as they arise.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • 8+ years’ experience in engineering or project management
  • M&U projects typically contain appreciable and complex design engineering content; the candidate shall have a good overall understanding of design, installation, and operational complexities of steam turbines.
  • Strong work ethic and willing to do what it takes to get the job done on time and with high quality.
  • Strong written, verbal, mathematical, and interpersonal skills
  • 10% Domestic/international travel to accompany customer witness point or meetings where applicable. The candidate must have or obtain after hiring a PM@Siemens, PMP or IPMA Certification. This requirement will transition to IPMA Certification by 2026. The candidate will be expected to complete the IPMA Certification by the due date

Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
