A Snapshot of Your Day 

As a MATLAB/Simulink Software Engineer, you'll play a vital role in enhancing Siemens Energy's model-based engineering processes for HVDC/FACTS systems. Your day will involve developing and supporting MATLAB/Simulink tools, collaborating with engineering teams, and optimizing software frameworks. You'll engage with stakeholders, troubleshoot, and work in an agile environment to improve productivity and ensure seamless operation across projects.

How You’ll Make an Impact 
  • Develop, test and support internal MATLAB/Simulink tools to support engineering teams.
  • Create custom Simulink Coder/Embedded Coder targets for various simulation tools and develop MATLAB software frameworks to support Simulink modeling teams
  • Design user-friendly graphical interfaces for MATLAB tools.
  • Set up and maintain CI/CD environments for released tools and framewroks.
  • Write documentation and provide technical support.
  • Communicate with MathWorks to address software issues and propose improvements.
What You Bring
  • University degree in Computer Science, Programming, or related field.
  • Over 2 years of hands-on experience with MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Strong programming skills in C/C++ and familiarity with PSCAD modeling.
  • Knowledge of DevOps, particularly Continuous Integration and Delivery, and proficiency in Git.
  • Basic UNIX/Linux administration skills and experience in agile development.
  • Excellent English communication skills; German is a plus.
