A Snapshot of Your Day (position overview)

As the single point of contact for Long Term Programs (LTP), this role manages parts, repairs, and outages for multiple large gas turbines, while advising customers on technical solutions impacting operations and maintenance!

A typical day involves coordinating with Siemens Energy teams and customers to plan and execute outages. The role requires a motivated, self-starting individual with strong power plant knowledge, engineering skills, and commercial acumen—who also champions safety and a zero-harm culture.

As the LTP Project Manager, you'll drive upgrade planning and sales (including scope beyond the contract like Steam Turbine, Generator, or Digital), manage financials, and present quarterly updates to leadership.

In support of the U.S. energy transition, you’ll help reduce emissions by replacing older equipment with high-efficiency solutions—playing a key role in Siemens Energy’s decarbonization efforts!

How You’ll Make an Impact (responsibilities)

  • Lead a cross-functional platform team including a Commercial Project Manager, Service Parts Representative, and Contracts Manager to develop leadership capabilities and drive team performance.
  • Strengthen internal and customer relationships by consistently demonstrating Accountability, Optimism, Communication, Trust, and Flexibility.
  • Collaborate with LTP customers to deliver hardware and software solutions that align with current operational flexibility requirements.
  • Support customers' decarbonization initiatives by enabling gas turbine and plant conversions to natural gas and hydrogen fuel mixtures, reducing CO2 emissions.
  • Provide Plant Flexibility Solutions that lower startup/shutdown fuel gas usage, decrease emissions, and improve responsiveness to dynamic grid demands.
  • Enhance commercial and organizational skills through the implementation of long-term service program contracts and process improvements in learning, problem-solving, and task execution.

What You Bring (requirements)

  • Bachelor’s degree or combination of high school diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of combined project management and field service experience in Power Generation is required.
  • Proven ability to deliver complex, high-value projects to multiple customers while maintaining quality and timelines.
  • Strong communication skills with experience in customer-facing roles, including presenting to and engaging with senior management.
  • Familiarity with rotating power generation equipment; must obtain IMPA certification within 18 months of hire.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
